We are currently working with a specialized Structural Engineering firm who focuses in precast concrete design for a wide range of building structures. The firm is on the cutting edge and are looking to bring on a Structural Engineer who is able to lead the technical design for precast concrete structures. This is a great opportunity to learn from the best and develop skills in a growing sector!Duties:
- Prepare design calculations, reports and spreadsheets in accordance to applicable contract documents
- Perform structural engineering design for steel hangers and frames for erecting and handling precast concrete members
- Conduct Finite Element Analysis on precast concrete wall panels
- Mentor junior staff
- Learn and develop skills pertaining to Ultra High Performance Concrete (UHPC)
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in structural design with a strong background in precast design
- PE is highly preferred
- Experience or desire to learn UHPC
- M.S. or Ph.D is desirable
