Summary
Responsible for design and engineering as well as sales and contributing to our project management team. This would include all aspects of industrial refrigeration systems and process utility systems including, but not limited to ammonia, CO2 and Synthetic refrigerants, chilled water/glycol and steam.
Position Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the Summit engineering team in design and implementation of ammonia and halocarbon refrigeration system.
- Supporting our full design/build efforts of industrial refrigeration engineering
- Delegate the creation, issuing, and printing of drawings, redline mark ups, and P&ID’s
- Work with customers to understand their needs and help design solutions for their refrigeration systems.
- Assist in the creation of estimates and formal proposals to present to customers.
- Maintain quality and standards through staying current with relevant code changes and maintaining engineering standards.
- Summits engineering requires skills to design systems including mass and energy balance, heat gain calculations, pipe, valve and equipment sizing, product load calculations and P&ID creation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications:
- Minimum Qualifications (MUST have to be hired):
- Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (BSME)
- 5+ years of industrial ammonia refrigeration engineering experience
- Working knowledge of and willingness to work in fluid flow, thermal dynamics, heat transfer, refrigeration cycle and psychometric analysis.
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Strong work ethic
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft office
- Motivated self-starter
- Willingness to travel to visit customer facilities
- Strong team spirit
