Description:
Provide the necessary leadership and oversight to field crews that ensures a safe working environment, enhances profits, and increases customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Project Planning
- Attend all planning meetings to understand project information pertinent to the erection process
- Identify project milestones, and potential problems, that could affect schedule
- Establish the basic guidelines that the project will operate within, including erection sequence, critical lifts, rigging procedures, and coordination of crane assembly/ disassembly
- Review and discuss with the Foreman the basic guidelines that have been established for each project
- Ensure that each erection crew is executing game plan for each project
- Act as the knowledgeable resource for any erection related question that the foremen or office personnel may encounter
- Communicate any changes in scope of work that would cause extra costs
- Uphold all company policies and execute any disciplinary action as the office deems necessary
General Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field equivalent experience
- OSHA 30-Hour Certified – Construction Industry
- Excellent computer skills required, proficient with Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents
- Excellent understanding of welding details and welding procedures
- Ability to determine critical lifts, interpret crane charts, and create rigging schemes
- Excellent understanding of cranes; assembly/ disassembly of lattice boom cranes and general maintenance
- Ability to handle multiple assignments, prioritize activities, and meet established deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- At least ten years’ experience in the management of precast erection
Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions
- Must be able to spend 50% of the day working at a computer and 50% at upcoming and active jobsites
- Must be able to occasionally lift and move objects up to 50 lbs
- Occasionally it may be necessary to work in outside conditions that can include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust
