BIOGRAPHY

Attorney Peter C. Wood, Jr. began his legal career practicing corporate litigation at several large Delaware and New York-based law firms, where he litigated complex class action and shareholder derivative action lawsuits in the Delaware Court of Chancery and throughout the United States.

Attorney Wood’s current practice focuses on representing plaintiffs in all facets of employment-related litigation. Attorney Wood is well-versed in claims arising under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and the Pennsylvania Medical Marijuana Act, among other labor laws. Attorney Wood has represented individuals in numerous proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, as well as in federal and state courts, and currently serves as counsel in several class and collective action lawsuits pending in federal and state court.

A few of Attorney Wood’s recent noteworthy recoveries include a $2,200,000 settlement on behalf of a group of plaintiffs who were subjected to a severe racially-motivated hostile work environment, and a sexual harassment settlement in excess of $800,000.

Attorney Wood received his J.D. from the Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law, where he was an Associate Editor of the Penn State Law Review, and a member of the Woolsack Honor Society –– an invite-only organization reserved for students who rank in the top 15% of their class during their final year of law school. Attorney Wood earned a B.S. in Finance from King’s College.
