Architectural Hardware Consultants (AHCs) are trained to recognize a builder’s hardware requirements for door openings in all types of public, commercial, industrial and institutional buildings. AHCs coordinate thousands of builders’ hardware items and options to ensure door openings are in compliance with fire, life safety, accessibility and building code requirements.
The Authorized Channel Partner (ACP)
The Authorized Channel Partner (ACP) program serves as a conduit for the ASSA ABLOY offering of Intelligent Openings products. Distributors that wish to sell Intelligent Openings products must first attain Authorized Channel Partner designation. The ACP program provides on-site training for wholesalers and distributors. It focuses heavily on real-world scenarios and exercises to ensure a thorough understanding of product features, applications, model structure, and pricing. Detailed coursework for each product classification must be completed to become an Authorized Channel Partner.
The program focuses on selling the right product for the right application. This training will enable our partners to assist their accounts providing a value-added service, differentiating them from other distribution companies. The program is open to those who resell products but do not integrate or install them. In order to quote, order, or sell a certified product from ASSA ABLOY, a company must have at least one person in their employ that has successfully completed the required ASSA ABLOY curriculum.
Construction Specification Institute (CSI)
Founded in 1948, CSI is a national not-for-profit association of more than 6,000 members dedicated to improving the communication of construction information throughout continuous development and transformation of standards and formats, education and certification of professionals to improve project delivery processes. CSI members work tirelessly to effectively communicate the designers’ vision, the material producers’ solutions and the constructors’ techniques to create outstanding facilities that meet facility owners’ objectives.
