A Single Chip Seal is an extremely cost effective surface application used to maintain, protect and prolong the life of an asphalt pavement.
Soft, flexible, polymer modified asphalt emulsion is applied directly to the pavement followed by an application of #8 or ¼ inch aggregate. The thick asphalt membrane water proofs and bonds the new aggregate to the surface, providing a new skid resistant wearing course.
