An application of #57 aggregate is spread over the existing stone surface at a rate of 35 Lbs / SY. This is followed with a penetration of CRS-2 at a rate of .75 Gal / SY and choked in with 25 Lbs / SY of #8 aggregate. This is immediately followed by a Duble Chip Seal utilizing CRS-2 and #8 aggregate for both applications. This process provides more than 1.50 Gals of soft asphalt emulsion per SY, providing a flexible, long lasting and cost effective solution for improving stone roads or parking lots.
